We're Damaged People

Working from 9 to 23 and then arriving home in a state of higher perception, where dreams and reality mingle, is an experience I’m having on an unfrequent basis. Do we even notice what is real around us? Do we even care to sever dreams from reality? Sometimes all we can do is just keep trace of what might be real and not let get ourselves be drawn to impossibilities.

A recent Discovery documentary regarding narcolepsy made me draw a mental parallel between those sleepwaking people and the office life, especially before the usual cup of coffee :-). And then again, what can we do besides sleeping? See here for a broader view.

Precious and fragile things

Need special handling
My God what have we done to You?
We always try to share
The tenderest of care
Now look what we have put You through...

Things get damaged
Things get broken
I thought we'd manage
But words left unspoken
Left us so brittle
There was so little left to give
